Some quotes from youth who went on the trip this weekend:
“Pride was SO FUN!!” Every single second and moment was an adventure. Pride has shown me not to be afraid of who and what you are. The drag queens were so FABULOSO!
I felt liberated and free like there was people that were just like me…people all there to support me. There were protesters there and when they got shot down by a thousand people it felt amazing and empowering. I guess it shows that little people can make a big difference.
“The best things in life are unseen. That’s why we close our eyes when we kiss, cry and dream.”
“Pride” does what it says..it allows you to be in a place wth no stigma against what society tells you to be ashamed of, no one there cares about anything but if you’re smiling and if you’re having a good time. You stop being a student or banker or a gay, or a straight or a girl/boy and are just a person. PRIDE=absence of shame.
